ACTIVITIES OF FACE TO FAITH

Since it was the first VC for MAPIANS, the faculty as well as the students left no stone unturned to achieve excellence. Various activities like defining faith, knowing faith in a broader perspective, paraphrasing, discussing about the way people respect each other, act respectfully and defining one’s identity were conducted with an aim to build up a number of key skills required for successful participation.

DEFINING FAITH
To begin with the students come up with their won definitions of faith and how they felt about the concept. The aim being to flourish the dialogue and settle the differences.

      WHAT DOES RESPECT LOOK LIKE?
The students considered the nature of respect in practice through their own experience. They were encouraged to have a discussion about how they have been treated with respect, how they have seen other people act with respect.

The key idea was to make students learn not to tolerate any thing and everything but respect other’s position if respect is commanded by others.
NAME SWAP

The students tried to be active listeners when each students   took a turn explaining the meaning of their name, why it was chosen by their parents, why they would prefer, knowing about the relevance of others’ names and enhancing their knowledge was a fun time for them.

DESIGNING A LOGO

The students designed a logo for their School’s ‘Face to Faith’ Project. The logos designed by the students reflected students’ understanding about how people feel when their ideas are valued. The aim of the activity basically was to have a free flow of thoughts of the participants.

T-SHIRT ACTIVITY
The students were given the blank T-Shirt template handout, Different areas like name, descriptive word about them, a wish for the future, a special place, two things they do well and their favourite leisure permit were filled and subsequently shared with each there to know more about their partners. T-Shirt hand outs were then used for display boards.

PREFERENCE OF MY LIFE

PHOTO BOOTH
The students had their hands on photo booth and skype, prior  to Video Conference just to make them feel at home and aid a smooth flow of the VC.

MAINTAINING A BLOG

The students were taught how to write a good blog and then instructed to blog regularly after each lesson about their experience. They viewed the blogs of others as well on comments on others as well on comments on their blogs and learned the art of re editing the blogs. It was a novel experience for them.
